Madison G Intensity Vault Club Official Website!
The GI Vault Club is a Wisconsin USATF certified club that offers high quality pole vault coaching to individuals interested in learning pole vault or improving their pole vault. We pride ourselves in offering a low athlete to coach ratio and individual improvement as well as maintaining a safe and fun practice atmosphere.
Who we are:
This club is open to all male and female middle school and high school vaulters. Coaching will be provided for beginning and experienced vaulters. Previous vault experience is not necessary.All experienced vaulters can bring their own poles. We have some poles available.
Club Director/Head Coach:Stephen "G" Guziewski-Madison Memorial Head Pole Vault Coach (2002-present)
Steve has coached 10 Madison Indoor/Outdoor City Champions, 5 Big Eight Conference Champions and 7 WIAA State Qualifiers in Pole Vault (Including a male and female state qualifier the last two years) in his six year pole vault coaching career.
During this time, Steve coached, 2005 Wisconsin Track and Field Athlete of the Year, Jenny Soceka,to back to back State Pole Vault titles in 2004 and 2005 (runner up 2003). Also, he coached Jenny to two National Championship Titles. Her first was the 2004 USATF National Title followed by the 2004 AAU National Title, where she still owns the age group national record of 12' 6". In addition, he coached her to two Nike/Adidas All American honors in 2004 and 2005 and to the Wisconsin All-Time Female State Pole Vault Record of 13 feet. She is the first and only Wisconsin high school girl ever to vault 13 feet!
